Designing for Programmer Delight

SYCL Talks Day (Mon) • 17:00 • Duration: 30m

How do you write code - whether it’s a library, a language, or even part of an application - to delight programmers? There’s no simple answer; it’s a tricky balancing act involving lots of tradeoffs.

In this talk, Richard explores these tradeoffs and the constraints they imply, as well as some practical conclusions he’s drawn from two decades of programming - including his professional experience with application development, library development, and language development.
